Wreck the Roof
Michael Hinton | April 10, 2022
In order for us to be a church that welcomes everyone and a church that is for everyone, we have to be willing to be bold, take some risks, think outside the box, and work in unconventional ways to help people find and follow Jesus. The question that Hinton asks in this message to all of us is, βWhat are you willing to do to help someone find and follow Jesus?β
To illustrate his point, Hinton uses a story from the beginning of the Gospel of Mark where some friends helped their paralyzed buddy through the roof in order to see Jesus. We should be willing to do whatever it takes to remove all unnecessary obstacles for someone to come into an encounter with Jesus, even if it means wrecking the roof, because at the end of the day, someone did that for us in some form or another.
