Offended By Grace

We come to the end of the book of Jonah, and the end of our Jonah series, on the occasion of Father’s Day. Jonah has made it to Nineveh and now we are ready for the grand finale, or maybe a better description, a not-so-grand finale. Sometimes in our faith journey we start out blown away by the amazing grace of God but through the years it becomes familiar in a way and loses its novelty.
The goal of this message is to be captivated or re-captivated by the amazing grace of God. Jonah was all in favor of it when it benefited him, but once his enemies in Nineveh repented and wanted to follow God, he flat-out got angry. All of us have someone in our life that we are prone to want to keep “outside the circle” so to speak. But God is faithful in love for all creation and that hits different for all of us.
